3/17/2023 0 Comments Exiftool gui cannot find efixtool![]() From the first couple of functions, it looks like R is able to find the exiftool so I am not quite sure what the problem is. My files are being ran through a external hard drive, and the exiftool is on my C drive in my desktop. I was not sure about write privileges, so I copied (duplicated, from within WSL) the (Windows-created) original file and renamed it to test.pdf, but this did not solve the problem. If you explore the ExifTool documentation youll find ways to specify alternatives in case one time is missing from the metadata but another time is. I've been having trouble using the imageRename function, every time I run it I end up with the error:cannot find Exiftool. # exiftool -all= test.pdfĮrror: Info object (11 0 obj) not found at 285226 - test.pdf the following command throws an error which I do not understand. However, I cannot change or delete them, e.g. Also in the python exiftool code at line 70 it says that you have to have it in the path or direct it to the executable, that I had missed. ![]() Once I added the application to the PATH env variables i got it to work. Exiftool is generally the most comprehensive of exif viewers - there are a number of GUI viewers based on Exiftool but normally based on older versions of the code (there was a major update with Fuji metadata recently - 11.17 I think - particularly relevant for X-T3). I am not the only one seeing this: Too bad, it was. I updated ExifTool to v 10.02 and ExifToolGUI to v5.15.0.0 and the mapping function just does not work. ![]() Google changed something in the call structure and now the maps will not display. ![]() The Geotag method available to us in ExifToolGUI is broken. I made a major boneheaded mistake and did not test PhotoMEs ability to export and import metadata from one photo to another. ExifTool GUI Google Map interface is not working. Warning : Info object (11 0 obj) not found at 285226 The problem was that I didn't have the exiftool command tool (the separate application of exiftool) in the right PATH env variable. I have to withdraw my support of PhotoME. ![]()
